I had never had a spray tan before and wanted to try one in the run up toward my wedding. I had no idea what to expect, perhaps an Umpa-Lumpa style colour? The spa is in a beautiful location which makes you feel instantly relaxed walking through a miniature rain forest to get in and the staff are were very helpful, explaining exactly what the treatment does and making sure I was at ease with it all. I was really impressed that they provide paper pants, a shower cap & funny little pads for the soles of your feet so your hairs protected durring the spraying and you also dont have to stand naked like a lemon whilst your waiting for the treatment to dry! I have no idea of any other spa's do this but its a great idea. I didnt look at all orange when I left and my tan has developed very naturally, its now on day 4 and only just starting to fade now. I'll definitely be going back for a second one before the wedding!
The health club looks a bit dated from the outside but inside is very well maintained and pleasant. The facilities are clean and comfortable and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The cafe in the entrance is very convenient for a relaxing lunch and wasn't at all expensive (which was a nice surprise). The pool area is very light and open and well kept. There is a sauna, steam and jacuzzi also and all are very well maintained and pleasant to use. Shame there weren't more loungers but hey! The treatments were spot on time and the therapists very professional. The head massage was heavenly! Had a great day and the 2 for 1 deal was great value!
enjoyed the day - gym, pool facilities and staff were really good but disapointed with the facial - the beautician didnt give me a consultation before hand and i ended up having a reaction to the products used which was uncomfortable - she didnt seem that bothered!!
but apart from that enjoyed the day and thought it good value for money - nice gym - if i lived in milton keynes would probably join
