After arriving at the wrong fitness first, location not accurately displayed on map, I finally arrived late to my appointment. The massage was very nice, but not as relaxing as I had hoped for. The treatment room is next to the shower rooms of the gym so you can hear everything that is going on in there. The therapist was really nice, but just not the best place for relaxation.
The therapist was lovely. However the location of the facilities in the middle of a gym changing room meant that it was hard to block out the background noise (hair dryers, showers etc). Massage perhaps a little shorter than hoped as it took a while to fill out forms and the 1 hour is inclusive of all this. Very satisfied for £20, but would probably have been disappointed for £60.
I arrived 10 minutes late (was unfamiliar with the area) but I was not penalised, I had the full treatment, which I was grateful for! The therapist was very keen to listen to my skin problems and tailored the facial accordingly. She was very gentle with my skin as requested. It was nice that she gave me a massage while the mask was working on my skin. I opted for a head massage, it was nice but a bit dull (although this may have been because I had asked her to be gentle with my skin and so she was probably gentle with the head massage too). She recommended soe of the range of products they sell, but was not a hard seller which I was grateful for as well. All in all, I was pleased with the treatment.
The venue itself was a little tricky to find, and once I was there, I was a little disappointed by the fact that the room was in the steam/sauna area of the Fitness First. This meant that there was a fair bit of background noise from guys talking in the sauna or steam room, which made it hard to fully relax during my massage. That said, my therapist was fantastic. She initially explained that the collagen massage was not a deep tissue one, but then proceeded to give me a very thorough, relaxing full body massage. While it was no remedial massage, it was a similar intensity to a Swedish massage and I found it both relaxing and useful for getting some of the knots out. Am not sure if I'll be back as there are so many great places to choose from in London, but if you work locally or go to this Fitness First, I would definitely recommend this place.
I came here for the collagen full body massage. It was very relaxing and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The therapist (think her name is Laura) was very nice and gentle, yet firm when doing the massage. This was very good value, will like to come back again especially if there is such a deal in the future! Note: this venue was not easy to find at all. Even with a google nav on my phone, I found the street but didn't realise you had to go inside a courtyard to find the entrance to Fitness First! Once there, I waited for a while before the therapist came out to fetch me.
