This is a small and functional treatment room in the basement of a gym and so the atmosphere isn't completely relaxing as you can hear gym classes going on in the background. However the treatment was very good and the therapist was lovely, and for the Wahanda price this was a real bargain. I would definitely go back, perhaps for more functional treatments like eyebrow shaping or waxing where the environment isn't such an important factor as it is with massage. The location can be difficult to find so check on a map before you set offif you don't know where you're going.
I was impressed by my therapist, who was very pleasant and polite. I just wasn't wowed by the treatment and especially the facilities at all. I've had much better value deals at some top spas through Wahanda before. Perhaps I've been spoilt.
Not the most luxurious of settings and unfortunately you could hear the noise from the gym through the walls of the therapy room which was a bit distracting but a very good massage and good value for money.
The therapist confused my request for a facial with a body massage, and it took some time to sort out. When I finally got my facial, it was slightly shorter than it was supposed to be (minus the time it took to sort out the mistake). The treatment itself was fine though nothing spectacular, and the therapist's constant shuffling around the room made it a little difficult to relax. Once the treatment was done, I was asked to hurry up as there was another client waiting. It's likely that the hurried treatment is a result of so many people taking advantage of the wahanda deal, but it's not likely I'll return.
This venue is in a Fitness First gym so don't expect a zen reception or chill-out zone before you get taken to the therapy room. At the start of my facial I was asked if it was ok if the electrician could work in a cupboard in the therapy room during my treatment! I said no! The excellent itself was excellent as was the facialist. I was however slightly surprised that she did not know what parabens were or that the products she used contained them.
