A wonderful Christmas present for my daughter and me. We had a lovely day in the pool and thermal spa, lunch in the spa and then treatments. It was the first experience of a spa day for both of us and we are converts!
Staff were absolutely lovely and the treatments we had were really good. The outdoor pool was brilliant, just a shame it overlooked the car park. The spa facilities were poor, two of the steam rooms were not working. We did have a good day, and for the price we got good value for money.
Had a lovely relaxing night in this hotel, the spa was lovely, the accomodation was beautiful and comfortable, and the staff did everything possoible to make the stay enjoyable, myself and a friend booked on a cheap deal which included the overnight stay, evening meal, massage and breakfast, also included was the use of the pool, sauna, steam room and serenity pool, would cerainly book this again.
The hotel is lovely with only one flaw in tne bedroom being very dirty window which somewhat spoiled the view. The spa was great but one of my main reasons for the break was to use the jacuzzi/hydrapool which was not working with a sign informing customers on the door that engineers were rectifying but this did not happen during our stay. The saunas and steam rooms were wonderful and the restaurant was fabulous with one of the best rib eye steaks i have ever tasted. I would definitely stay again :)
Reviews on this Spa break sealed the deal for me. The courtyard stone and little shops meant we would be not 'just staying in a Hotel with a Spa', The staff were lovely in both the Hotel and Spa. The room nicely decorated with a double and a single bed,,,Hmm my 20 yr old daughter claimed the double bed ! The food in the resturant was fantastic value for money. We chose from the 3 course menu priced at £19.50 (our package allowed £20 each). The only downside were the deserts, Peach Melba.. with an orange instead of a peach and a poor sherry triffle. Breakfast however was brill. I would recommend you book your treatments as soon as you book the package. I left it until the day before we were to go and there were very few slots available. Its a shame there isnt a hot tub or jacuzzi, although there is a hydrapool, but unfortunately at the time of our visit this was out of action. One other little point was that when we visited the pool a childrens swimming lesson was taking place, perhaps time slots for lessons could be displayed somewhere, so that 'spa breakers' could avoid this time to enable a more relaxing swim. Our treatments included a back massage each (included in the price of the package) and a pedicure for myself and a manicure for my daughter. All treatments were excellent, staff friendly and thorough. We were given a 20% discount on the extra treatments we had as , on our arrival there had been a mix up over our booked treatments, we were more than happy with this gesture. Overall i would recommend this venue and package. Excellent value for money.
