Unfortunately this was not the pleasant relaxing day I had hoped for! I have never written a poor review before but felt others should be informed to avoid the disappointment I had. Just arriving was stressful as we were told we had not booked in despite having received confirmation from the place itself and spent ages stood at an unwelcoming reception desk trying to sort it out, with an unhelpful member of staff who was more interested in the web site offer I received and felt that lunch should not be included in the package despite clearly having paid for it as part of the offer. I was eventually given a robe (first one returned as was dirty) but no spa slippers available and as I had been told they should be included had not brought any myself. We were left to find the spa facilities available ourselves with no explanation of what was available as the staff appeared far too concerned with other matters and therefore were unaware of the relaxation and refreshment area upstairs until over 2 hrs after arrival as we tried to find out where we could get a drink and lunch would be served, lunch was acceptable but certainly below standard I have received at other spa venues. Also must say the shower area can only be described as awful, dirty shower screens, broken soap dispensers etc. The thermal suite itself was ok and the hydrotherapy pool nice. The treatments in the afternoon were lovely and therapist very pleasant, however other than the treatments the day itself was way below the standard I expect and had I not bought this as an offer I would have asked for a refund! Needless to say I will not be returning and have booked my next spa day elsewhere already to make up for it!
Venue is a bit tired and could be cleaner but staff were very helpful and made it an enjoyable experience.
Had a lovely day st the last drop they even brought in more staff to accommodate all our treatments the lunch was lovely and the young man who organised the visit was very friendly and helpful. The treatments were enjoyable and the facilities great. Thank you Last Drop you made my birthday special
It was extremely good value for money, the staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean the food was value for money off the package menu albeit not a varied choice. I would certainly go back and recommend it to others.
Lovely, relaxing day and the treatments were great. The spa itself was looking a little bit worn, and the coffee machine wasn't working so there was no access to hot drinks, and there was a mix up with our lunch which meant we didn't get it until late. However, when it arrived it was very nice.
