Nice friendly staff and a lovely calm environment. Lovely heated beds to relax after the massage
Massage was nice and firm
The girl that done the tan was very nice, I was pleased with it until I got home orange hands,and very stripe legs ,have done much better myself very poor . (Sorry) won't be going back .
We purchased a spa and hotel deal through lastminute.com - was an excellent deal. Pleasant experience. Great food and service. Two thumbs up.
I've booked "Two Night Dream Spa Break" for 2 persons via Wahanda and I think it is very a good value for money. This package includes 2 nights in an executive room, 1 afternoon tea and 1 dinner, 2 breakfast and a spa treatment plus use of facilities (steam room, sauna, swimming pool, outdoor hotpots). The Wahanda website didn't mention that "full body massage" could actually be chosen for the 1 treatment included in this package (in the website it's only facial). When I called to the hotel for booking, I was happy that I could choose body massage!
Room: The executive room is a bit disappointing. Being in a spa hotel, I would have thought the room is nicely equipped but I couldn't even find "facial tissue" in the room. The toiletries provided was good but in those standard 30 ml bottles that I couldn't squeeze out the conditioner and body lotion easily. Staying for 2 nights, the housekeeper did not refill the toiletries which is very disappointing. The room is spacious and bed was nice. But I think this is something very basic a hotel should have, and if it's a spa hotel, one would expect more. Room was clean but it's nothing special.
Hotel: staff are nice, especially restaurant and bar/lounge staff. We had an afternoon tea but it was ok. Tea's selection wasn't that many and it's from Twinning teabag. Scones were nice, but the sweet stuff, e.g. muffin, brownie were far too sweet. Sandwich was ok. Dinner: was disappointing. Two courses menu was included, typical supplement for steaks. Food was ok but my husband's steak was disappointing. He ordered a medium rare sirloin but the steak was well done. We didn't return as we hate wasting food. I must say staff are friendly and attentive. Breakfast was good, first day (Sunday) was breakfast buffet (e.g. sausage, mushroom, fried eggs, bacon etc) with continental selection (e.g. cereal, juices, yogurt etc) and one could order extra from kitchen such as smoked fish, poached egg, fried egg etc. Next day's breakfast was continental breakfast and no buffet, so we had to order from kitchen. We had egg Benedict which was fab.
Spa: spa is part of the health club with gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam room (right hand side), spa treatment room was in left hand side of the entrance. If you use the swimming pool first, and then spa treatment, you have to walk through the cafe in the entrance. Changing room was clean and have shower facilities but the shower gel wasn't hotel's brand product (it was from LUX) - disappointed. Spa treatment area was small, staff were nice though. The full body massage we had was also very good. The steam room was extremely hot which you can't really stay too long. We didn't use the sauna so can't comment. The swimming pool was in good size and in fact most of the users are health club members (retired people) and not from hotel. I guess during our stay there were not many people staying in the hotel, as we could see from the breakfast time.
All in all we had a good time in this hotel, and hotel has a very large backyard and conservatories as part of the restaurant. Nice staff and area - just dinner was a bit disappointing and the room which lacks the "extra bit" to feel like being in a "spa hotel".
Really lovely hotel excellent food friendly and helpful staff . Only down side was spa facilities were part of the gym in separate building, was just like being down my local gym. Spa staff made it feel relaxing and enjoyed treatment.
