Good service and friendly staff. Would reccomend bannatyne spa and not only the gel nails but also all the other facilities.

Unfortunately, the Banatyne Spa Bristol is just not a relaxing place because it is so busy (on a weekend at least). The therapy rooms are positioned right next to the gym, and gym and spin class users actually have to walk through the treatment room reception to get to their class - up to 25 or so people! So on the one hand you have the pan pipes relaxing music and the noise of gym friends chatting and stomping past you. The pool and jucuzzi area is trying to be all things to all people, so there are children and families swimming, with couples or groups relaxing, and it is just very busy overall. The jucuzzi is too small to fit everyone in during busy times. The same with the sauna. The treatments are good, and reasonable value. But I do grudge having to pay extra for the robe and slippers, and most spa days do include a light lunch, which this did not. Although classes are included, there are not many on a weekend. Overall, I would not return
An enjoyable and relaxing day. We managed two classes and swim /steam room /sauna in addition to our treatment. The restaurant OK but uninspiring. Some healthy home-made soup and fresh rolls would have been great, or nice cakes/ biscuits. But overall our day met our expectations.
I'm shocked with all the negative reviews online...maybe there is a different attitude with the regulars than the one-off visitors but I had a wonderful time! I booked a spa day for me & husband but he was ill so my dad came along. Staff from reception through to therapists were very friendly, accomodating and helpful. Becky, the massage therapist was wonderful and my dad and I, who suffer from bad backs, left feeling great! We unfortunately had to leave early but managed to get in the sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool before we left and if we had the time we would've visited the gym and some classes. We visited on a Sunday and was very busy clearly with regulars but I find that ok as it means the spa/facilties are very popular so I didn't find that discouraging. Lovely, clean, modern facilties throughout. I was very impressed and will be recommending to friends and family.
Bought this for a friend and she was chuffed to bits - said the whole thing was amazing, and left her totally chilled out!!
