Ok, not the best tan I've ever had and a bit patchy - probably wouldn't go back but the place and people are nice
A very enjoyable, chilled out day. However it is very annoying to be kept on hold on an 0845 number for ages when trying to book the experience. If bookings really can't be made locally, it ought to at least be a local rate call, preferably without delays.
We were a little bit late for our treatment but the ladies were lovely and made sure we still got the full treatments, as we had called ahead. Very good massage and a relaxing day. Customer service couldn't be faulted. Nice little cafe on site at Bristol too.
My partner and I booked a Deluxe Choice Spa Day which had acces to all spa facilities and included a 55-minute treatment. We both booked a full body massage. I changed my mind once I got in the room with the beautician, who I could say was trying to be helfpul when advising me to change treatments; so I finally decided to have the pack with a facial treatment and a back massage for the same time, 55 minutes. The staff took us to the rooms almost 15 minutes later than the time booked. However we left at the time it was due to finish, which means it couldn´t have been 55 minutes. Also the masseuse that attended me left the room leaving me waiting a few times, one of them because the mask she applied on my face was itching so she had to remove it and go to get another one. Although she took it off and tried to help, the results from the treatment were negative and my face was sore with a rash for three days after the treatment. I specified the type of facial and body skin I have so I shouldn´t have had that problem. The spa facilities were great, the staff there were friendly and helpful and we had a lovely and relaxing time. I would go again to the centre to enjoy the spa facilities but will not choose a private treatment with The Bannatype Spa.
Place is ok. Swimming pool enables a proper swim which was good. Jacuzzi jets could be a bit stronger and the Steam Room and Sauna are basic but a nice aroma in the Steam Room from an added oil, but the sauna smelled of the sweaty guys from the gym who maybe hadn't showered first?! Massage was good, very small room but therapist was good. Long winded booking process and confusion about the slippers and robe. Staff in the cafe did their best to help and were very nice.
