The hotel post code written on the voucher was not correct so we drove right passed it so would be wise to double check the hotel website before going.
The hotel is not new , looks a bit tired in fact and might be overrated as four stars BUT staff are very friendly, the gym and swimming facilities are quite sufficient for a weekend break. We had a back massage and dinner included on our package deal which were exceeded our expectation. The dinner and breakfast were buffet style so lot of food.
We might not stay there again as there werent much to do in the hotel in the evening but the deal included the treatment, spa facilities and dinner , it was an extremely good deal and most importantly , staff will not treat you less just because it was a package deal!
One thing only, there wasnt a free wifi in the hotel room.
I was a little worried as the deal we had seemed too good to be true! 3 of us took a friend away for a weekend before her wedding so we wanted it to be special. Surpassed all my expectations - the staff were all extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful at reception, restaurant and spa. We thought the food was very nice for a hotel restaurant where you never really know what you might get! Both the evening meal and the breakfast were delicious. The massage therapist (I think her name was Kelly) was so sweet and gave an amazing treatment. We enjoyed the spa facilities, although there was a baby and parent swim class for much of the morning which didn't lend itself to a relaxed ambience! I think it's used as a local facility as well as for the hotel. The rooms were good - one of the doubles was upgraded and that room was really lovely. The standard one was also nice although maybe in need of a little tlc to spruce it up. We were allowed to stay in the spa beyond our checkout time so that was really nice. Having wine, sweets and fruit included in the rooms was a great touch. Really think this is an amazing deal for the price, and would recommend.
