I visited Valentino yesterday for my first wax ever and could not be happier with the results. I was really nervous when I arrived but Michelle the therapist put me right at ease and couldn't have been nicer! She was so friendly and distracting from the act in hand that it seemed to be over in a matter of minutes. Really pleased with the results and would highly recommend x
I went to Valentino Salon for a facial treatment, which was performed by the lovely Michelle. As soon as I stepped into the treatment room, she was analysing my skin type and she really personalised the treatment so that it was tailor-made for me. She was incredibly professional and a wealth of skin care knowledge, offering practical advice about how to specifically look after my skin. The treatment itself was fantastic, using Dermalogica products. To combat my spot outbreak, Michelle made sure to use steam and exfoliation as well as a very thorough extraction section. The facial also included loads of massage segments - my hands and lower arms were massaged whilst my face was being steamed and later on in the treatment, I also had a shoulder, neck, upper chest and facial massage which was blissful. My skin looked great afterwards - even my spots looked super clear! I had that fab, fresh glow and I now have the confidence that my skin will get through this spotty patch thanks to Michelle's hard work! The beauty treatment room is situated downstairs, and is nicely decorated in whites and greys. It's nice and spacious so you're not cramped at all. The venue was easier to find than I was expecting, less than five minutes away from High Street Kensington tube station. All of the staff were really friendly, wanting to make me comfortable and Michelle especially put me at ease straight away with her expertise.
Sophie is an amazing colourist, I can't recommend her enough! The salon itself is hidden away behind High Street Kensington in a quiet little street amongst cafes and art galleries, there is a really nice villagy vibe to it. I normally dread visits to the hairdresser, but this was a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning. Sophie asked loads of questions about the existing colours in my hair, and what I liked/didnt like about it... I wanted to go a little lighter -she got the colour spot on and the actual highlights were incredibly fine so it looked very natural. I had recently gotten a hair cut, which I wasn't too sure about and she managed to tweak it so that when i left, I had an amazing colour, and as an added bonus a hair style I loved. I can't decide which I'm happier about. I'm a real salon hopper, and have never really found a place that I loved enough to stick to, but I will definitely be coming back.
This is my favourite yoga spot by far! I had the honour of meeting the founder of Shanti Yoga, Charlie Morgan, on a health retreat in the Caribbean where she held the most amazing yoga classes and workshops. I'm so thrilled I can attend her classes here in London at this beautiful little gem! The sessions are very nurturing (she even incorporates mini scalp and shoulder massages!), playful (loads of genuine laughter), grounding, professional and energising at the same time. Love it!
Thank you for a great new style Valentino! I couldn't be happier with my haircut and the staff at the salon are so nice and friendly. I'll definitely be back again.
