The price of these gel nail extensions was brilliant - unfortunately, it turned out to be a definite case of “you get what you pay for”! The woman doing my nails was a lovely person, but seemed very new on the job and it showed - she kept accidentally cutting me with the nail file (four times total, once with quite a lot of blood) and ruining her own work by leaning on my nails with her jumpered elbow, and then having to do them again. She didn’t understand the difference between round and square nail shapes (I asked for round), but in fairness I think this was a language barrier issue as she had very little English and I have no languages other than English. She also really struggled to stick on the extensions, three of which fell off within four days. The colour, even though it was a gel manicure, was peeling off by the morning after I had them done, so I had to repaint over them myself. I have to say, I got a neater paint job that way too! Within a week, the nails were so unevenly broken off and looked such a mess that I removed the remaining intact *five* gel overlays and extensions myself - simply by gently tugging at the ends, and finding they came away from my natural nails with ease - like peeling off cheap polish you can do at home. I have a non-typing-heavy desk job and have never had a gel manicure fall off in this way before! I can normally make them last three weeks. Basically, I’m never going back here again - well worth paying a bit more elsewhere.
