Treatments were of a high standard.
Reception staff were pretty average, not warm and friendly and a bit grumpy at times. The building and facilities were of an ok standard, not as luxurious as expected.
I went here yesterday with a friend and initially was very impressed. The place was nice and looked very inviting, we were shown into our treatment rooms which were lovely and afterwards the relaxation room had just the right ambience.
Unfortunately after this it went downhill. We went to get changed and the changing rooms were freezing cold, we braved this and went straight to the spa pool which was luke warm, we were both shivering.
We tried out the steam room which was tiny and dated and also the sauna which was the same.
The whole place needs an overhaul with grotty tiles, showers that barely work, dated paintwork and just too cold overall.
It's a shame as the staff are so nice the place itself lets it's customers down.
great day, nice venue, food good, facilities clean & tidy. Nice to have robe given but would of been nice to have slippers aswell. Overall had a good relaxing day!
My friends and I had a lovely day at the spa, the treatments were excellent ,staff were friendly and the
food was enjoyable. We were disappointed that the Jacuzzi wasn't working on the day but we were
told that we could come again and use the facilities, would recommend and we all agreed it was
great value for money.
The massage was fantastic; and I do have experience in that field. I have to say that the staff were really accommodating although we weren't offered the bubbly or the gowns which were part of the deal, so it spoilt the ambience somewhat. We also ordered some food, which took a while to come, despite being the only people in the lounge at the time - when it arrived, the portions were so paltry for me I had to send it back and ask for some filling in my bread! The sauna/changing rooms are looking very tired and dated (and were quite smelly); the lockers wouldn't lock but still took my money. I wouldn't go again, although the treatments were good (massage was one of the best and I had a great therapist); I was a little disappointed with the express pedicure which was literally just nail painting - I thought there might've at least been lotion applied or a quick massage, which is usually standard - it wasn't that cheap compared to other spas. I thought with it being a deal, that the spa would've gone out of it's way to impress, but sadly no.
So all in all, we enjoyed the day despite numberous let-downs, we sat around the pool and just relaxed. The staff were really apologetic when they realised they hadn't offered the drink and robes, and offered us complimentary drinks - can't fault the staff at all, they are a credit to the place; it's just a shame the place lets them down a little - could do with a refurb!
