My first hot stone massage and it was just fabulous, I have never felt more relaxed. My nails looked great afterwards and my face felt clear and smooth for several days. I would definitely go for a spa day here again. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, we couldn't have asked for better attention. The only comment I would make is that some of the tiles are missing around the jacuzzi and it would look and feel better if these were fixed.
It was a nice place and easy to find. on entry there wasnt any signs to say where to go. we were then greeted by an elder lady (staff) who was very helpful. however the robes were only one size and burried my friend as she is rather small and slim where as it didnt fit me properly as I am slightly larger. the facilities were basic but clean. and could do with an update. the jacuzzi was way too hot. as in almost scaulding. we used the facilities then went up to the bar to wait for the treatments which were booked for 12. however by 12.45 no body had came to us they thought the treatments were at 1. (Embarrassing sitting in a bar in a costume and small robe) the treatments were lovely and after we ordered a toastie.. this took the bloke (who seemed like he couldnt be bothered) 40 minutes to tell the kitchen. and when the food arrived it was undercooked the cheese wasnt melted and the onion rings were as though thry had been showed the fryer. not impressed. howeve all the treatments were nice and I liked how we had to fill a form to say how hard or soft we wanted our massage. if certain staff were appearing more willing it would be a nice place to be.
Staff at the spa were nice, however the receptionist ( who I think was also a gym instructor) was left alone to deal with reception, gym members and to act as a waiter in the cafe! The spa could really do with an extra member of staff as he can't be in three places at once! This lead to a long wait for us to order lunch. Which when it arrived was lovely.
The spa it's self is not so luxurious. More a gym with a pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms.
The treatment rooms are nice and the hot stones massage was lovely. The facial felt a little rushed and didn't leave my skin soft and glowing as usual after a facial. The express manicure looked lovely that day but was very chipped by the next morning ( even though I hadn't done anything hands on to spoil it)
Overall quite good value but not the luxurious relaxing day I was expecting

Brilliant day, for the price we paid it was excellent Best hot stone massage I have had in ages would go again :-)
