Small shop, but all you need is there: two attentive staff members, coffee, tea, and above all: an amazing half head of highlights and a good cut. I wasn't really asked beforehand how I usually have my hair, but thankfully this was done before the scissors came out, and the result is good.
The staff were so friendly and lovely and very knowledgable. My Stylist Girt was great and made sure all the way through to talk to me about what I wanted and to get it right. I was very impressed and will be back.
This is tiny place in Soho with 3 chairs, 2 male and 1 female stylist (on my visit). It seems to be a former barber's shop also catering for ladies. After my first visit I came away with a mixed feeling about the place. Normally I prefer to support small independent shops to large chains. Positives: Staff was friendly and attentive offering me coffee upon entering. I didn't have to wait long before my hair was washed by one stylist and then taken care of my another. As I was not happy with my haircut the lady stylist took on my comments and set upon making changes to my hair cut to deliver a more satisfying outcome. The manager also kindly offered me a discount card for my next visit (although I don't think I will go back). Negatives: Normally a hairdresser would ask me when my hair was last cut, consult me about what we are going to do BEFORE washing my hair to get a feel for it and then decide on a way forward. My hair was washed washed my someone else as the lady stylist was busy with another customer. I clearly told the lady stylist that I wanted a fresh and young looking haircut, something like a short bob with clean lines, short at the back etc. The trouble started when we discussed how to cut my hair as we found ourselves 'lost in translation'. Her command of English was clearly worse than mine and she clearly did not understand what I wanted from her. Even with English not being my first language, I have never encountered this before. The result of this was that she said ' let me do what I think' and then me looking at her a bit baffled and agreeing with her politely. When she showed me the result I was very disappointed and had to tell her to cut it all off in order to rescue the situation and me from looking like my grandmother. On the off-chance my partner had his hair cut on the same occasion with a better result than mine. At £15 for a mens wash and cut is a good price and so was my wash, cut and blow dry for £24. There was a lady who had his hair cut before me and she was very happy. I think this place is good for getting a trim/ maintenance cut but less so for having a restyle done. Certainly good value for mens cuts.
Therapist listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me a very good cut. She helped correct a previously poor cut with skill. Very pleased with friendly and attnetive service.
This deal is amazing value for money. The salon is a small place in Soho, the staff are very friendly. The colour was as good as I've had in any of the big name salons, as was the cut. Would recommend and I will definitely go back.
