First impression was that it looked like a male barbers so i was a little bit concerned, however within seconds of walking in the manager was so sweet and welcoming and i instantly felt comfortable. the service was great the whole way through and the cut turned out amazing. My hairdresser did a really good job and they were very knowledgeable about what would suit me. I look forward to going there for all my hair needs in the future :) Sarah x
Small (only has three chairs), private salon in the heart of Soho which to me was excellent. Didn't have to wait (which always happens when you go to the bigger salons), straight in the chair and off he went. My stylist (Gerd I think his name is) was excellent - didn't create unwanted/un-genuine chit chat which after a long day at work was appreciated. Within minutes of explaining what I wanted it was done - he even gave me advice which is the first time I've had this in AGES!!! Colour went on, and as the other stylist was looking after the walk-ins, I had the full attention of my stylist. Customer service was top notch, as was the attentiveness. No waiting whilst the stylist went and tended to others!!! Half head highlights, style and blow wave all within 2 hours!!! Oh...and the BEST head massage I have ever had!!! They also give you a discount off your next visit!! Even without this I think I have FINALLY found my salon!!!
Don't let the exterior of the shop fool you, people keep walking in and out in this little shop in Soho. The blond guy from Latvia ( I forgot his name) knew exactly what to do with my hair ;). He asked me what I wanted and said exactly the things I wanted to hear. I have Asian hair and I dye my hair for over 15 years in hazelnut/honey brown. This time I wanted to add more movement by putting highlights in my hair. I never use bleach in my hair but instead I use a few tones lighter than the color I want it to be. To reach my color I often use medium blonde or something in that direction. The hairdresser did the same and it came out fantastic, no gingerish (red/orange) color, very natural that blends with my color (no streaks at all). The hair cut was also very nice, I am a wash 'n go person, so I don't want to spend a lot of time doing my hair. He took care of that too. And when I mentioned I like to wave my hair sometimes and will go to Royal Ascot the next day. He offered to do it instead of a blow dry and learned how to do it myself, which was very helpful. And my waves where still in shape and came out even better the next day, which he already said it will be. So I practically did nothing but putting my formal hat on for Ascot. Overall, very professional and easy to talk with. He is actually very funny as well. I enjoyed my time, you're next!
I have never had such an enjoyable hair dressing experience, 3 hours are normally so boring with reading endless magazines, but the staff here were so engaging and friendly, and the service was excellent. Do not be put off by the size of this place, and yes I thought it might have been a barbours from the outside....but its spot on for highlights and a fantastic cut, my stylist Girt knew his stuff!! So guys, the only thing I would suggest is, mayyyybbeee, just put up another girlie hair style image in the window....to make it look less barbour style because it is the best hair dressers I have ever been too, quirky, friendly and a happy chappy customer, I shall be back :)
Yusef and Elena were lovely and really listened to what my mum and I wanted. They looked after us perfectly and the result was great!
