The therapist was definitely knowledgeable and for ten pounds it was a nice treat. The main area of the salon was pretty hectic being a hairdresser studio and the front desk was not particularly welcoming, but the beauty therapy room was nice and quiet.
Its ok with the basic facilities but doesn't give you a relaxation feel at the saloon. It has quite small reception and the room is small. They called to cancel my booking twice though. But it is good value of money with Wahanda deal. I think it is a bit noisy during the treatment as you can hear people talking next room. But the facial itself is good.
First time went there and found the room is small. Though the therapist was nice but I feel the facilities are not as great. However, it is good value of money as it was only £10 per half an hour.
Salon is right in the heart of Chinatown, upstairs from some chinese restaurants. The salon itself was clean and fairly well-laid out, but a looked a little dated (ie. 80s/90s hair salon). The wash and blow dry were decent, but there wasn't much chit chat and I got the feeling that the guy who did the blow dry didn't know much English. Thankfully I only wanted a basic, straight blow dry. The only real issue I had was when I used the toilet. The receptionist (who had just come from the toilet while I'd been waiting) did not think to a) hand over some toilet paper as there was none in there or b) go clean it up a bit first. Frankly, the loo was in a bit of a state and thankfully I had tissues in my purse. Thought it was actually a bit rude for her to send a customer in there on the assumption they'd be ok without toilet paper. Wouldn't bother going back.
The salon was clean and quite busy. The girls at reception were friendly. I had my facial within 10 minutes of arriving. The beautician was thorough and did a good job. When she put the mask on my face, she didn;'t just sit down or leave the room but gave me a nice massage which was a great touch. There was one problem. When I bought the voucher, it said I was entitled to a 30 minute facial. However, as soon as I laid down on the bed, the beautician said the voucher only entitles me to a 20 minute 'Wahanda facial'. She said this only includes a cleansing, steam and face massage. She went on to say, if I paid an extra £10, I would get the full facial, which would also include a mask, extraction and decollete massage. I opted for the full facial, but was disappointed that I was told that my 30 minute facial voucher only entitled me to a 20 minute voucher. However, this was the only niggle, I had, otherwise I was satisfied.
