This was my second visit to this venue. It is in an excellent location and provides a no frills, good quality haircut and blowdry. Would definitely recommend, as the stylist is experienced and very friendly.
Excellent location and opening hours, just behind Bond St station. Stylist was experienced and very friendly. Knew exactly what to do with my curly hair. Great blowdry too. Great Wahanda deal. Would go back again.
This was my first solo visit to a spa and the staff made me feel at ease at the get-go. I had a massage followed by tea and cake. I asked for a hard massage and the therapist obliged which was great. I had full use of the spa facilities included in this great deal which included the gym. My one criticism is that there was no concept of pool-side loungers as there was no pool, only a jacuzzi. There was a separate relaxation room with music and a great selection of magazines but the lighting was very bright. Had it been dimmed it would have been a more relaxing spot to relocate to after the massage. Didn't stop my enjoying a lovely slice of cheesecake though :)
I had booked a 1 hr oxy-brightening facial. The therapist scolded me whenever she spoke, which meant I couldn't relax. I felt like I was being lectured for not using the correct level of SPF protection on my skin and for using high street products. She tried selling me more treatments but I had no intention of going back after that. I've had better/ more thorough and relaxing facials in the past. She barely went below my chin.
A friendly hairdresser who did exactly what I wanted and gave me some good advice too. Would recommend, especially as I was given some discount vouchers for future use too.
Hairwash chairs are like beds so watch out if you have a dodgy back!
I grabbed one of Wahanda's great 11/11/11 deals. Apart from the fact that my appointment wasn't in the diary (despite having email confirmation), the salon was able to accommodate me and saw me at the allotted time which was good. The massage was good but as it is at a hairdresser's, I could hear everything going on outside, so was unable to completely relax. A good general massage at a bargain price.
The offer was a haircut, blow dry and conditioning treatment. I wasn't given a conditioning treatment, nor was I offered a glass of water. A month on, the haircut is OK, but not the best given I thought I was going to a good salon. It's on par with my cheap local.
The hairdresser and receptionist were friendly enough but overall I wouldn't recommend the experience if you are looking for something special. If you are looking for a regular trim, then it's OK.
Excellent value massage and facial. Fresh fruit mask smelled yummy enough to eat. The therapist was very friendly and knowledgeable. The only hitch with the venue is that the room is in what seems to be an office block so I didn't feel relaxed in a Spa-like way.
