Was not expecting a male practitioner so it took me a bit longer to relax, but my massage ended up being really good, and the practitioner was obviously very knowledgeable and experienced. Left feeling invigorated.
I recently holidayed in Sri Lanka and, while there, became interested in ayurvedic medicine and remedies, so searched for a centre in London and found this venue not too far from me. I have had a few massages, but the full body massage Tanya gave me is the best I've ever had in London. Her manners, technique and attention shown throughout the treatment were exemplary. Despite the fact that the venue is undergoing renovation at the moment, it is kept clean and tidy and once you are on the heated bed in the treatment room, with the music on, you truly forget where you are. The range of treatments on offer is remarkable, the prices are not so cheap as to make you wary but not extortionate either. I am so glad I found this clinic, I can't wait to go back!
The beautician was fast and accurate, I wasn't made to wait at all which was perfect as I tend to be on time or early for my appointments. The place felt a bit crowded and could do with a freshen-up, but overall I was very happy with my experience
Angie was great: she made light work of removing a shellac job (done at another place) and reshaped my nails so they now look tidy, healthy and shiny. Would definitely go and see her again
The whole experience was extremely enjoyable - I was cursing Transport for London for nearly making me late on the way there, so was a little flustered when I arrived, but Abigail immediately put me at ease. Within 5 minutes of the treatment started I was thoroughly relaxed, and remained so for the whole evening after. Top marks to Abigail on her soft touch and unusual (for me at least) technique. My new favourite local spa - will definitely be back!
I have been twice for a full body massage and can't wait to go back again. The premises are clean and relax-inducing, and the practitioner I saw - Nikita - is just lovely. Extremely welcoming and well-mannered, with a soothing but form touch when she needs to use it. No part of the treatment feels rushed and the comfort level of the treatment room is very high. While I would specifically ask for Nikita again, the other staff members seemed equally nice.
I highly recommend this salon.
I had to wait over 20 mins for the therapist to become available, as the previous appointment had overrun. When the treatment began, the therapist couldn't get the steamer to start, which lengthened the session further. Luckily I wasn't in a rush. The problem was eventually resolved and the treatment itself was pleasant and relaxing. The therapist did not spend much time on extractions, probably I could have done with a little more time, but given she was running late, she did not rush through and I still had a full hour. Apart from the cramped room and the glitch with the apparatus, this was a good experience and one which I would have probably given a higher rating on another day. I will probably try it again.
I cannot rate my treatment as the confirmation that went through to the salon from Wahanda was for a generic 30 min treatment and not for T-section highlights...
The stylists did not have the time for highlights on the day, hence they gave me the option of cancelling or having another treatment. I had a blow-dry which was very good and I will be going back fro my highlights, although I will not risk booking through Wahanda agian as there is obviously an issue!
I love this place as it's so close to me, and since it opened I have had pretty much everything done here: nails, pedi, threading and massage. All staff members are so personable and I've never come away disappointed, plus the place is always spotless. Really pleased.
First impressions do count and this wasn't great. The sign on the front doesn't say Bodhi but something else, so I had to check the number on the address to be sure. The reception area is truly poky but you expect this in Soho. The therapist Sofia was lovely and really polite, I used the bathroom which was clean if a bit 'unfinished'. The treatment room was cold so I was grateful for the towels I was given. The treatment itself was unusual, you get this cold air jet applied on your skin for about 20 mins, not particularly relaxing but not uncomfortable either. It is then followed by a weird second machine which feels like it exerts a slight suction. I was told this would fix the oxygen into the skin. Then you get two types of serum applied which feel lovely. You are then advised not to wash your face before the following day. The day after I had lovely soft skin and it did feel a bit plumper and replenished. Would probably go again, not 100% sold, though.
