I am a single professional woman wo loves pampering in 5 star venues . I am a kean traveller and have a strong sense of adventure.

The spa is situated in a hotel 10 mins bus ride (170) from Clapham Junction . On arrival was pleasantly greeted and updated on the arrangements for the day. As my treatment times were deferrred I decided to go to the relaxation room for short while. To my surpise the room was more of a lounge , well decorated and pleasant but not the type of set up I was expecting. One could not elevate their legs, the room had glass walls to had plenty of natural light not condusive for really chilling out. After my complimentary refreshment i decided to have lunch and was told that I would get 50% off. On entrance to the restaurant the offer was confirmed with signage and by the waitress. I was totally surprised that when I tried to place my order for lunch (burger and Chips) and pudding that my choice was not eligible as was deemed a snack! I decided not to get into a debate and took myself back to Clapham Junction and enjoyed Scampi and chips. I reluctantly returned to the hotel to salvage my day. Found that the locker did not lock (new ones on order) and whilst there was the offer of the spa receptionist sticking it in a cupboard I did not feel comfortable as the girls were busy and area not always manned. The jacuzzi was nice and hot but only had capacity for 3 people. The steam room and sauna took 5 -6 people. Neither had egg timers. There were no loungers in the jacuzzi area of shower to rinse of between sauna etc.

What really saved the day for me and why the overall mark is so high was my therapist (Billy Jean) and my treatments. She really looked after me . My feet were unrecognisible after the pedicure. Despite being the last customer she took her time and was very thorough and professional. It is really down to BJ that I would reconsider going back for more treatments (not the facilities). On another note the other spa staff were pleasant and the place was clean and they used very good products. With tweaking the owner can turn that place around to make it a true spa experience but as it i now not really on par with some of the spa experience offered by many.

Made a last minute booking at Spa London at teh Rainbow Center. While the whole leisure facility was newish, I was surprised to find that the thermal area and changing rooms were jointly used by the SPA and the general leisure center folk. Whilst the facility was not heavily used when I was there I would imagine at peak period the place would be unbearable. Saying that, that is no different to going to hotels with 'spa facilities' and finding every Tom, Dick and Harry using the facilites around you! I suppose I 'm a bit of a snob!

One massive saving grace was the relaxation room which was available to the spa clients. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the treatment exceeded expectations. The refreshments on offer in the relaxation room and the fact I had it to my self was a real bonus. Also liked the nice large robe, quality slippers and nice size Elemis Samples that were provided. Would recommend and I will be trying the other Spa London locations.

Went along to Brooklands Spa with an open mind given some of the reports heard prior. The Spa is situated on the 4th floor of a beautiful modern hotel set in the middle of a semi industrial/retail park setting overlooking a Mercedes race track. The spa comprised of several treatment rooms, a meditation room containing heated water beds, a relaxation area, gym, refreshment area, outside hot tub and wet and dry sauna located inside changing rooms. Whilst none of the areas were overly large the place was adequate for the numbers visiting.
What I liked best: The staff (whilst not looking very happy) were helpful and well trained. The meditation room (whilst it needed to be booked) was lovely and I enjoyed it twice during my day visit. The spa had a nice feel too it and my message was very good.
The negatives were low temperatures in the relaxation area, the hot tub and and changing rooms far too small. They could also do with another 'feature' to engage visitors . All in all I had a pleasant day and glad I was able to go using a special offer otherwise this review would certainly have a different tone.

The Spa was part of a large hotel complex set in extensive grounds in a rural setting.

Pros - The staff were welcoming, pleasant and efficient. Lovely relaxation room where one could enjoy complimnnetary refreshments. Spacious aroma steam room aand dry sauna. Pleanty of seats around decent size pool. Heated lounges very relaxating.

Cons - Sound proofing between relaxation room poor meaning you could hear pool side yelping of the children using pool. Very small changing room. The spa was a good walk ( via semi open air walk way ) from main public area of hotel where one had to go for food.

The facilty was very much a ' bolt on' to a new modern hotel rather than a typical spa resort. It had a nice swimming pool, jacuzzi (not working at time of visit), a aromo steam room , relaxation room, a dry sauna and a small gym area. The mud treatment (which was on an offer) was self applied and pleasant. Favorite part of the facilty was the relaxation room where you could chill with a fruit tea. Negative points were lack of a 'private' channing cubicle and the main changing room was not laarge enough to cope with too many people using it at the same ttime. Would highly recommend for use with 'an offer'.

Room Positives - Was good size and well equipped and tastefully furnished. Bathroom nice size and had audio link to tv.
Room Negatives - Twin beds small for room size, would have expected queen sizes. Someone had crudely tried to remove stains from velvet effect chair damaging fabric. Net curtains and elabrate light needed cleaning.
Dining positives- Had the benefit of half board and really enjoyed the food. Good choices on the menu. Dining room had nice ambiance, well staffed and Manger very pleasant and responsive.
Dining Negatives - Had waitress abrubtly comment on the fact that I was 'by my self' and them spoke about 'putting me in a corner'. You can imagine how that made me feel! There were chinese and american tourist grous which were overly looked after ( I say at the expense of the independant diners like myself). Breakfast included was stricly continental and not the greatest of selection but ok. One could of course opt for cooked breakfast at a premium.
Spa Positives - Very nice and spacious with indoor pool and jacuzzi and oudoor hydro pool. Ample places to sit and relax. Beauty therapist dilgently checked health questionnaire and whilst it resulted in my not being able to take up the treatment booked (was not charged) the consequencies if my form was not checked could have been very serious.
Spa Negatives - The quiet relaxation room bit far removed from the the rest of the spa areas . The space was too dark to read and too light with noisy music to relax fully. No tea or coffee avialable on herbals and water, was complementary however. Limited choice of magazines and papers in relaxation area.
Location Positives - Hotel set in beautiful landscaped grounds. Very peaceful and within walking distance of town center.
Negatives - Walk uphill from town center. Train/bus station a good distance walk away

Public Areas - Hotel had several fantastic rooms where you could chill out . All rooms were well maintained and decorated. There staff never hounded you but were at hand if assistance was needed.

The Grounds - Well laid out and kept but not extensive. Was an out door whirl pool in the garden which one could only really enjoy on a very hot summers day. Could do with a better link between the building and pool and a cover to maximise use.

Spa Area - was very pleasant and relaxing. The price of treatments was steep so we only enjoyed the included facilities.

Bedrooms - Were fantastic . No expense spared in decoration and interior design. All rooms were unique in terms of colours and choice of fabric and even size.

Food - We booked half board and had expected to be shown to a formal dining room. Sadly this was not the case and ate at the braisserie (excuse spelling). WHilst the food was very edible the abiance and dinning style spoiled the experience.

Generally really enjoyed the stay there mainly due to the sense of luxuary, professionalism of staff and shigh standards experienced. Would higly recommend it.
