Very relaxing and unrushed. Just what I needed and I have recommended the treatment and venue to friends. I felt chilled but also upbeat afterward.
I chose the acupuncture treatment as I was having problems with a ligament in my leg and had a back problem and I was impressed with other reviewers' comments. The clinic is upstairs in a tan shop, which was very basic but the staff in the shop were friendly and the therapist - Chi, is such an amiable, professional, efficient person that the facilities were not that important. I was so impressed that I booked a course of 6 sessions. What I really liked about Chi is that she demystified acupuncture; she didn't cloud it in talk of energy lines etc but explained it as reducing inflammation, which made sense and was noticeable after her treatment. She didn't hurry the initial session - or those following, and also gave me valuable advice about the problems I was having, which I have acted on and benefitted from. A definite offer to sign up for.
First of all it was very nice to get an offer so close to home and then it was a great relief to find it was a brilliant offer to have chosen. It included 4 treatments - though I didn't choose to have the brazilian - and every part was delivered with the care and professionalism you would hope for; I certainly didn't feel that I was getting half measures because of the reduced price. The premises were adeqate and I quickly felt very relaxed there and the staff were very friendly. I will certainly return to the salon again. My sister and a friend went for the same offer on different days and were also very happy with the treatments and the salon.
A very interesting and amusing treatment and a great offer. I always wanted to know what lipomassage was like and this was the perfect opportunity to find out. The salon was in Toni and Guy in Mayfair, which meant the whole day was enjoyable as I was able to make the most of spending time in the area with my sister. The salon itself was very small and basic but the staff were friendly and the treatment was professional. The amusement came from having to squeeze myself into the equivalent of a babygro made out of support tight-like material before the machine was used to deliver a very thorough massage. Obviously one treatment is not enough to make much difference to the cellulite but at least I can now make a more informed decision about any possible future course of treatment - which is offered for less after the initial treatment.
I was unsure what to expect from this visit after reading other reviews but I found the facilities fine - they had all that was required and the staff very welcoming. As for the treatment, I'm really happy that I finally experienced floatation. I was able to fully relax after a short time and was pleased not to be fazed by closing myself in a dark pod and I felt no need to get out early.
The only thing was, I'm not sure if it actually benefitted me in any way whatsoever, so I can't think of a reason to do it again. Nonetheless I am very thankful to Wahanda for providing me with the opportunity to experience this and would definitely advise anyone thinking of trying it to go ahead and do so at Floatworks.
On top of the treatment, I spent a very nice day in the Southwark area so it was £14 well spent =>
I am so grateful to Wahanda for organising this offer. I had to arrange an appointment quickly as I'd left it til the last minute again and I was worried it wouldn't be a good time and I realised it was quite a way for me to travel. However as soon as I arrived at the spa I felt so chilled; the receptionist was so welcoming and the facilities had such a relaxing atmosphere. The time of day meant I felt I was practically the only person there so I could totally relax in the steam room and the relaxation room. As for the massage, it was wonderful. The therapist asked me which pressure I required before she started and then really took her time to provide a very thorough treatment. At no time did I feel I was getting an inferior treatment or experience because this was a Wahanda offer. Despite the distance I would love to return for another massage if I get the chance and I would definitely recommend this spa to anyone else.
The spa was easy to find and was situated in a wonderfully historic 'public pool and baths' building, which appealed to me immediately. However the spa itself is a very modern part of the building downstairs but that didn't spoil it as it was well designed and most relaxing with a great choice of thermal steam rooms and saunas and also a large, clean, well maintained recuperating and relaxing area with water and apples freely available. As for the treatment - well mine was unfortunately interrupted twice due to a faulty shower in the treatment room and the need to change rooms; much to the embarrassment of the therapist who was most apologetic. However this could not possibly reduce the 5 stars I give this treatment as it was first class, unhurried and marvellously relaxing. Best of all was the unexpected head massage while the algae wrap treatment took effect. As well as my skin feeling fantastic, I felt on top of the world when I left Spa London and I will most certainly return and recommend it to others.
