I really like this salon, been a few times and everyone is really friendly and helpful. My stylist listened to what I wanted but also gave her advice on what i needed, so we compromised haha! Morrocan oil treatment was great, smelt lovely and really made a difference.
I enjoyed my visit to Michael Barnes - really chatty, friendly staff and helpful too. Michael himself cut my hair which was cool, and did exactly as I asked which I often find is not the case with hairdressers!! He recommended some products etc too and I actually went back for a keratin treatment which was on offer.
really good filter coffee too! :)
The course was a very good way to experience Zumba without having to sign up to a gym. Although the facilities weren’t always well suited to high energy dance classes, the instructors made the most of the situation and provided everyone with a great time. I would consider signing up with City Academy to attend the classes put on by Jessica Vasquez Cruz who was one of the best Zumba teachers I have come across in London
I have been here before and the dental hygienist was great. Unfortunately I had a different lady this time who frequently caught my gums so causing paind, didn't use the sucker device properly so my mouth was always filling with water and running down my face, and her mobile kept going off every 5 mins! Wholly unimpressive, and I did tell the secretary to make a note on my profile that I did not want that lady if I came again. But she was moving to Scotland anyway!
This was actually a foot scrub, file and polish and nail file and polish, including cup of tea and a cupcake. Not impressed overall, cramped salon, had to be moved from one room to the next for each treatment. The cup of tea came in an espresso cup, and the cupcake was the smallest cupcake I've ever seen, I didn't know anywhere made them that small. They had no choice of tea except regular tea. Nail paint was no better than I could have done myself unfortunately, and the therapist was in such a rush to leave she was getting changed and clearing up around me with no time apparently to check if my nails were dry enough to leave.
I just went for a general check up and everything was fine, though the osteopath did give me some stretching exercises to do which was helpful. He did do a few stretches on me to re-align etc, but said I didn't need to come back for anything. He was friendly and helpful and it was a good experience all round.
My mum and I loved this place. Therapist (Carly) was lovely and did a great job. The spa area was small but ideal - steam room and sauna and luxurious shower facilities, huge shower heads and quality body wash and moisturiser. Only improvement we could think of was having somewhere comfy to sit in between steam room and treatment etc. It's next to the gym but no-one was using the gym so luckily we had it to ourselves. I'd definitely go back.
Bloww is a very nicely decorated and large salon, easy to reach from Picadilly Circus or Oxford Circus, just off Regent St. All the staff were very friendly and the hairwash was great as it was finished with a good mini head massage. The stylist actually listened when I said I just want the ends trimmed off, so I got what I wanted! I was offered a drink, had my coat taken etc, all very pleasant.
I initially wasn't impressed when my first booking was double booked and no-one contacted me to tell me so I turned up anyway, but the 2nd time I couldn't make it due to transport issues and they didn't penalise me at all so I re-booked. Very helpful hygienist and my teeth looked great afterwards, very clean. I will look out for another voucher and go back.
