The ambience could have been better. The staff was very friendly and the therapist was really good. Initially there had been noises coming from upstairs which was annoying, but later probably the upstairs saloon was closed and the noises stopped, so I had a very relaxing pregnancy massage. The special massage table for pregnancy could have been more comfortable. The therapist asked me the areas I want her to concentrate. I told the areas I had pain. She only focused on those areas. Though the massage was wonderful, I wish she had given me a full body massage as I had originally booked for. But overall, it was a good experience and I slept better that night :-)
I reached the salon 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, in a sunny, warm afternoon. They made me wait for 25 minutes and didn't even ask me water.
The guy James was 4 years experienced in hair cuts, but doesn't seem to be very confident in what he is doing. He ended up cutting my hair much shorter than intended and at the end, he got the fringes all wrong! He didn't get my natural parting, took out a parting way too far and ended up fringes in the total wrong direction. And my hair being silky, it fell uncontrollably on my eyes. After the haircut, my vision was blocked and I looked like the ghost from 'The Ring' , hair all over my eyes.
I was quite angry and asked him if he could get it right, but it was beyond repair. He was visibly nervous as probably he too realized it was a blunder, he started spraying lots of chemicals to hold it in place and it was a complete mess! I was clearly disappointed and am waiting for my hair to grow back :-(
I went for the Zumba dance class in Hammersmith. Zumba dance classes are good. But I didn't like the fact that the steam and sauna rooms are unisexual. There should have been rooms for male and female separately. Otherwise facilities are good.
