I went for the pedicure. The terapist was an angel- so nice, and professional. The only thing I'd say is I'd rather have my heels done with the rubbers than the blade. Otherwise- excellent! My toes look, and feel, heavenly.
The spa is beautifully made, and the view is magnificent- as someone had observed earlier on. Showers, lockers etc are great.
The swimming pool is really a very small therapy pool, and the sauna lacks 1) a timer, 2) the temperature (when I was in, it was barely warm; I told the staff about that but it didn't improved by the time my treatment was due).
My treatment- a really and truly a great one! I was in the bliss, I will be back for sure. The therapist was efficient and nice, not talking too much and allowing me to stay in peace.
Please do remember you will need a £1 for a locker.
The appointment was on time, my therapist was very professional, throughout and nice. Everything you would need!
I do recommend
I had a Hair Colouring and Highlights Treatments and have awarded it 5 stars.
My therapist was very nice, the treatment was good, although I didn't get the oil on the end (I thought this is a standard in the professional manicure nowadays)
Overall it was a very good value; atmosphere there is quite chilly and I didn't feel welcome after I showed my Wahanda voucher
The therapy room is actually on the back of the hotel gym, so a bit busy, but once you're inside, it is ok. My therapist Anna was very knowledgeable and friendly, and explained every step of the treatment.
I was very happy with her.
Reception is not so friendly- when I arrived no one was there, so I had to wait on my own, not really knowing what to do, as it was 5 min to my scheduled treatment. The receptionist eventually arrived, gave me the usual form to fill in, and after around 10-15 min I was ushered to the treatment room- no apologies for delay and no explanation, either.
The sauna is smallish yet I was mostly on my own there, and the steam room would do with some work (cracked walls etc).
Overall I am happy with the treatment, not so much with the facilities. Might come back.
The salon has a nice buzz and if you like the young/cool environment that'd be something for you; I find that for the hair treatments I prefer much more a peaceful and soothing experience. The therapist was quick, or at least she seemed to be in a hurry, I was pushed around and whirled in my chair without any warnings, so must have been quick not to have my knees bumped into the wall.. I was asked if I'd like a drink, but never got any. The therapist kept talking above my head with others, and after all I wouldn't call it a relaxing experience..
The colours are ok-ish (I had had it better) , but I must admit she was good at the blow dry, and done exactly what I asked for.
Overall: I don't think I will come back, sorry.
The venue is in the heart of Covent Garden, in one of those traditional shop spaces- all very cosy and beautiful, quite a peaceful place.
My therapist was lovely, was talking me through the treatment (I was having teeth clean&polish done, for the first time), also advising me on some issues, not at all being pushy in sales terms.
She was very friendly and pleasant.
The treatment itself is ok- at some point it was a bit unpleasant, but I suppose it is down to everybody's sensitivity.
Overall v. good, I will go back there for sure.
I was booked for Dappa hair on December (before New Years Eve), when I got the phone call they are closed on that day and I would need to move my appointment. I did so, only to be told when I arrived that they were opned on the other day! Not very nice, as I wanted my hair to be done before, not after the New Years Eve.
I was on time, had to wait for about half an hour without any explanation. Waiting area was very cold.
Hair was done so so- the light in there was more of the boudoir kind, so could not see the colour properly, but at home I was dissapointed, to say the least.
On the plus side, my haidresser lady was very nice.
