I have visited Spa London before and always look forward to relaxing there. I visited this time during the week just before lunchtime and so the steam and sauna facilities were nice and quiet. This is not always the case so be warned large hen parties and groups of friends do book and can be very chatty throughout the visit!
The staff were helpful and the facilities clean. With my voucher I also had an express facial which was great! The therapist was friendly yet professional and the Elemis products used were lovely. Great value.
I purchased one of the one night spa breaks for £30 (bargain!) and visited just before Christmas. Champneys Henlow is definitely in need of a refurbishment (some already underway) but still offered a relaxing break for me & a friend. More of a health retreat than spa so think of low frills but lovely setting retreat.
I actually had a massage via a Wahanda deal at his venue (option not available on drop down!). Easy to find and good location in the city.
The venue is small, the staff were friendly and the facilities are efficient but not luxurious. The massage itself was ok. An alright deal for a massage during a lunch break, but not especially special!
Excellent value for money on this Wahanda deal!
I went with a friend and we used the spa facilities- sauna, steam room and relaxation room. We didn't use the gym facilities but the whole area was quiet and clean. We visited the spa first thing in the morning so had the rooms to ourselves. By the time we left at around noon it was beginning to get busy, so early appointments are recommended for peace and relaxation . Enjoy!
The actual venue was easy to find and great for a quick beauty fix during a lunch break.
I opted for a massage with my Wahanda deal which was a full body general massage which left me feeling relaxed. The therapist was very professional, but I must say that the general feel of this venue is a bit sterile (no character!). Ok treatment & ok venue.
Excellent venue, rooms, staff, facilities and food! From the moment I stepped off of the train & into my pre arranged taxi to the time when I laid back & relaxed in the library room, this spa experience was one of the best I have experienced.
I used the spa facilities early in the morning during my one night stay and it was like having the place to myself. The restaurant does get quite busy but the staff can be flexible with booking times.
I can't wait to go back :)
I must admit that after reading the reviews I had second thoughts of using my voucher for treatments here. Admittedly this is not the swankiest of spas, but I have to say that I had a fabulous time here. I had a facial (hydrating with a banana mask), hand parafin treatment and a go on the massage chair! My therapist was friendly and professional and the receptionist was too! Maybe they've taken note of past comments, but I have to say a good time was had by me :)
I have been to this spa on a few occasions. Granted, it's location isn't tranquil but behind the glass doors lies a comfortable spa with some luxurious finishing touches. It's about a 10min walk from High St Ken station, so not too bad.
My massage lasted 45mins and the therapist catered to my needs. The steam room is shared by both men & women (not always great!) but I always seem to be the only one in there (advantage of booking midweek afternoon!) The relaxation room has tea & coffee facilities and some great movies to watch on a flat screen tv. It is kinda pricey when you look at its regular price list, so it's a great deal especially if purchased through a wahanda deal!!
The therapist made this spa experience delightful. Friendly, professional and a fountain of knowledge!
The spa is in the same building as a gym and on arrival there was no receptionist so I was kept waiting, but apart from this my experience was good. Some facilities do need updating e.g the shower and the relaxing music was a little loud!
My treatments were fab and my facial was the best ever leaving my skin glowing. Don't expect opulence and be patient trying to get through on the phone to book your appointment.
I booked the spa last minute after getting some time off of work and the receptionist was more than willing to help me & my friend - showing us around the facilities and giving us tips!
As we had booked in for the morning, the gym and spa were empty (bliss) and the teas and water in the relaxation room provided welcome refreshment. The views were lovely but the apples looked a little tired! The heated seating was great for my aching muscles and the mist experience was great. Good value for money. I'd definitely go again!
