It's pretty hard to believe that I've never had a massage before, but my time...

I booked a Tui Na massage here as I really like Chinese massage, and used to go regular for them when I lived in NY. When I arrived the receptionist suggested I'd get a deep-tissue massage instead. I thought it might be because they were short on staff, so I happily accepted as I felt sore from a workout. What I received was nothing like a deep tissue massage though. The therapist seemed very nervous and unknowledgeable. The massage was firm, but it was mostly just running her hands back and forth. Nothing like other deep tissue massages I've had, where the therapist puts pressure on focused areas. It didn't really feel like a professional massage, with someone who had good knowledge about anatomy and where to focus the pressure. Also the therapist played Westlife from her mobile phone through the massage, which I didn't find very relaxing.
The venue is no frills, but I'm not fussed about that. It seems clean and the staff is friendly.
I might have been unfortunate with my therapist, but I won't be returning as this wasn't a professional massage.
