The masseur was excellent, I would rate him in my top 3 massage experiences of all time - and I go for a lot of treatments! The only comment I can make is that it would be better if the treatment rooms and the wet spa area connect, so that guests don't have to cross the reception of the gym to go between them. The treatment rooms themselves had a nice ambiance, so it was a bit of a shame to break that by having to cross the standard gym reception to get to the wet spa area afterwards.
Another great experience with Thai London Therapy.
Had a 90mins couple Thai massage. 60mins body and 30mins feet. Body massage very good. Feet massage a bit painful
I've visited Metta before for a thai massage, which was wonderful so thought I would try out a foot massage this time - I was not disappointed. Wonderfully relaxing, and the staff were as friendly as always. A great start to the weekend!
Max is very knowledgeable, he gave me tips on how to take care of my posture and worked on my sore muscles which I didn't realise where that tight! He massaged, pulled and stretched my limbs and although it could be a bit painful at times, I was completely energised when he finished. Don't go there if you expect a relaxing light massage, but definitively book if you want to get your sore muscles taken care of. I will definitely go again.
This was not a spa but a gym with 2 treatment rooms! You had to get dressed back I to your clothes and wait outside in the cold gym reception for your treatment. The towels given were slighty longer than I hand towel, and a after it was used to dry off after using the cold swimming pool it had got wet and cold I swamped the towel over for the one used during my treatment (same sized towel), as I did not want to use a cold wet towel as I was already suffering from a cold. After the treatment I got dressed and left to go back into the changing room to get dressed and use the pool again, however on my way the therapist stopped my friend and I who went into the treatment together and told us off for taking the other towel even though it was just used on us during our treatment! She said if you want other one you have to pay 50p! The towel quality was horrible they were thin and tiny and we just wanted to keep warm as we had to walk back through the cold gym reception.
I would have NEVER booked this 'spa' if I knew it was going to just a gym! Overall went I went home feeling embarrassed after being told off by the threapsit in front of everyone and as a result of the area being so cold and stingy on towel I'm now very ill. I would like to know how Whanda can promote this as a spa?!! Me and two of my friends took
A day off work to have a relaxing day at a spa not a gym! I expect a refund or an exchange so we can actually book a spa day.
We had couple Monday to Friday massage and went for combined hot stone and thai
Very good. Very professional. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Top shelf!
Going back in 2 weeks
Lovely and friendly staff. Massage was perfect firmness and the masseuse attentive. Decor gave it a really relaxing ambiance and helped get me relaxed
This was more than just a foot massage. Reflexology pressure points were stimulated which made this a very therapeutic and therefore beneficial treatment.
The room was lovely and warm. Which I was grateful for after using the outside toilet which is so small i had to open the door to wash my hands!! The facial was amazing, although they were unable to advise what products were used. The foot massage - I expected pressure points and massage on my feet, which I didn't get. However, she was so good I fell asleep!
I brought this experience for my partners Birthday and if i am being completely honest, I don't think my expectations were met. On a positive note the staff were friendly, the facial was lovely, the facilitates were clean and the food was very good. For the negatives.... there was no sign of the thai foot ritual, the 'massage' is only short and given as part of the facial (so cleverly sold as an extra when it isn't really), although promised the couples suite we did not get to use it, as it was fully booked and some of the facilities were out of order. I am currently in contact with the hotel regarding my feedback and they have been very understanding so far/trying to rectify this. We may possibly have just had an unfortunate amount of things go wrong so hopefully this would not be the same for everyone!
