Lovely couples massage with glass of champagne after. Staff were lovely, made us feel at ease. Spa itself is so lovely and such a relaxing environment. Thanks to all who dealt with us on the day. Such lovely people and what a nice experience thank you xXx
A relaxing and spiritual experience. If you believe it will work, it will work. Gave me some very good additional ideas of what I will be doing this year, and explained tensions which I have and have had. Warmly recommended!
Eileen was very friendly and gave a fabulous massage and reiki treatment. She didn't clock watch and my session was longer than I'd booked for as she concentrated on the actual treatment for which I am extremely grateful . Will definitely go back.
This was my first visit to E:den and was a great little time-out for me (somebody who literally never stops!). I had never tried Reiki before and was a little undecided on whether it was for me but went into the whole experience with an open mind. The massage was fabulous but surprisingly it was the Reiki that was the most relaxing - I cannot say whether it was the 'energies' or the simplicity of being able to meditate in such a wonderful atmosphere but I doubt this will be last session! Highly recommended!
I had my first Reiki experience yesterday. I chose Stepping Stones as it was accessible on public transport and good value for money.
I had a really good experience. Hillary was my healer, she explained me the process and I had a brilliant experience.
I was a typical skeptical person in relation to energy and healing, but I must say that I left feeling peaceful and I felt reinvigorated today .Hillary gave me some useful advice.
I really recommend Stepping Stones. Caring and professional staff, easy access from public transport, nice accommodating venue/salon.
Brilliant Service, Calming Friendly and an amazing weight loss from my first wrap Sooo Happy!!!! Have now booked a course of wraps.
Absolutely fantastic Reiki Healing Treatments, which included a facial massage that was so relaxing.
Very knowledgeable about the treatments and spent time afterwards explaining my experiences to me.
A gorgeous place, very homely without the clinical feel of a spa environment.
This is an intimate, tranquil and excellent practice set up in the owners flat. The reception area is clean and pretty, the living room is gorgeous and bright and the practice room where massages take place is impeccably clean, has a calming ambience and looks all together very professional and welcoming. Upon arrival Elinor explains where things are (including bathroom) and for massages asks you to fill in a form about injuries, allergies, tension and stress etc. She then steps out of the room whilst you undress and lie on the massage table under a clean blanket. For my first visit I went for a combo of aromatherapy and Raynor Deep Tissue Massage. It was my first experience of a Raynor massage so Elinor talked me through what she was doing which I greatly appreciated. She also explained the aromas she was using for the aromatherapy and checked that I liked them. She started with my hands, then back and shoulders, next my feet, legs and hips. The Raynor massage can be painful, she warned me of this and told me to tell her if it got too much. For my hands, back and shoulders I found the massage perfect, no real pain but a good work out, releasing all the tension and generally felt fantastic. My toes however were painful, I hadn't realised how much tension were in my toes. Elinor told me to breath through the pain if I could stand it but if it got to much she would ease up. I breathed through it and afterwards felt so much better. My hips were also holding a lot of tensions. Again the after effect was a feeling of deep release and relaxation. After the tough Raynor deep tissue massage she moved on to my neck and head. This part was absolute heaven! As she worked on releasing the tension in my neck, head and face I was breathing in the beautiful scents of the aroma therapy on her hands and on me. The aromatherapy head massage was so relaxing I felt I was drifting off on a bed of flowers. I didn't even realise when she stopped at the end of the massage and stepped out the room for a few minutes. This was a full 2 hours of excellent massage tailored specifically for my needs and cheaper than the 90 minute massages you get in high street massage parlours. Afterwards my body and mind felt great! So without hesitation I booked another massage straight away.
My second visit I went for the same massage, this time I was familiar with the set up and what to expect so we went straight into it. Whilst Elinor worked on my hands and feet we chatted away about various things. However when it came to the neck and head massage she realised that I was done chatting as I completely relaxed and enjoyed the massage. She worked on me in silence which was perfect. Elinor is great at sensing when you want to chat or get things off your chest and when you want to just relax quietly and enjoy the massage. At the end she offered to do some Reiki on me to see if I liked it (we had been discussing it earlier). I said yes but was sceptical. The Reiki was very interesting and did not feel at all invasive. I could definitely feel energy in the areas she placed her hands and in some areas more than others. After this I decided to try Reiki more often so now when I go to the practice I book both a massage and Reiki.
The mind and bodywork practice is fantastic in many ways, it offers great massages and treatments, Elinor is friendly and professional, highly qualified and fully insured, and the atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. What it excels in is the personal touch. This is what is often lacking in high street massage parlours where they try to get as many people through as possible and the massages and treatments feel a bit generic and sometimes rushed. The Mind and Bodyworks practice takes the time to tailor each treatment to your needs. And if you want there is even time for a cup of tea and a chat afterwards. I highly recommend this practice.
I had a Reiki and have awarded it 5 stars.
Acommodating with appointment timing and rescheduling. Receptionist and therapist were both warm, receptive, and not overbearing. They took their time with everything - directions, appts, the actual treatment. Hilary (the reiki therapist) is patient, kind, and has a nurturing energy. Took me an hour to go, but more than worth the quality of experience. Plan to make it a regular place.
