Check out all hydrotherapy reviews.
After reading such great reviews I was really looking forward to the '5 star' spa I had booked for my mums birthday and her first ever spa trip. When we arrived we were initially told we had to pay for robes and slippers, even though when booking online it said they were included. The spa area itself was smaller than expected. The hydro pool would have been lovely (I imagine) had it been working. However none of the jets worked so it was effectively just a shallow swimming pool. There was a pile of sand in one corner of the pool from where building works were going on and when the builders arrived around 14:30 the noise was certainly less than relaxing. In the morning the steam room was lovely, although the gap under the door meant after a while it got a bit chilly, but after lunch there were used plastic cups all over the floor and on the sides. The sauna was great. We spent a while sat in the salt grotto but nothing really happened it was just a scented room with some tiles missing. The 'relaxation chairs' were tatty and worn and one of the loungers was also broken and out of use. We had the afternoon tea upstairs and the cakes were amazing. However the bread on some of the sandwiches were dry and stale and had clearly been out a long time as the meat and cheese fillings were warm not cold. The chairs upstairs in the dining area were also in need of some reupholstering as they were tatty and worn away in places. In the changing rooms the bins were all full in the toilets and the robe bin at the end of the day was overflowing onto the floor. All in all it was a very disappointing day, however the spa would have potential, just needs a LOT of TLC.
Great package, I think the lady who conducted my massage was new as it wasn't as relaxing and good as my partners, he said his was amazing! Nice facilities, nice food, overall quite clean. 50% of staff didn't seem to want to be there and some came across a little rude, however it didn't spoil the stay. Would definitely return.
Took my Mum in Law who is 82. I have been several times and love this place. She loved it to as i knew she would. The hydrotherapy pool is the best one I have ever been in. Breakfast and lunch lovely as always. It is just a perfect relaxing day.
Taking 5 friends with me next time (already booked!) ... I had a 15 minute treat not hydrotherapy but you get a great choice and I felt amazing afterwards :))
Had a lovely experience, only disappointment was unfortunately steam room was out of order due to technical problem.Otherwise, first class.
I had a Hydrotherapie and have awarded it 5 stars.
A very good experience. My treatment had several parts including exfoliation, hot stone and traditional massage. The relaxation room was a highlight.
Spent a fabulous day at K Spa with my daughter it was worth every penny. The staff was friendly,. professional and easy to talk to. I have recommended this Spa to my work collegues
Everything was exceptionally good but suddenly after about jacuzzi died and never came back to live despite pressing the green button numerous times. The absence of any reclines on which to relax after saunas is unfortunate.
Just had the most FANTASTIC Escape and Stay Spa break, Food was amazing, Room amazing, Staff couldnt do enough to keep you happy, they were so friendly. Overall 10/10 only thing it was very busy Easter Sunday but that was to be expected as bank holiday, however didnt spoil my experience. Cant wait to return. Thank you Whittlebury hall for a great birthday break.
