This is the grubbiest salon I have ever been to. The floor had not been cleaned in days or weeks, it would seem, and the plug sockets and skirting boards were thick with dust. The salon was difficult to find, and accessed through a plain grey, unsigned and windowless door (which resembled the sort of entrance reserved for massage parlours frequented by dirty old men). Once inside, the reception desk was chaotic and covered in pieces of paper, a stained flannel (?!) and other detritus. There was a bottle of milk sitting on a worktop alongside treatment creams and serums. None of the treatment areas that I could see were large enough, there were no hooks to hang your coat and bag and the treatment room that I used was really tatty and unprepossessing. It felt very much as though the owners had decided to try to maximise their income from a central Camden location without actually bothering to make the place clean or comfortable. When I go to a spa, I expect it to feel hygienic, efficient and calm. None of these adjectives could be applied to this place. The staff, on the other hand, were perfectly pleasant and friendly, but I had the impression that they were trying their best to operate in a chaotic environment. Whoever owns this salon should be ashamed.
