Baobab Massage description

Nuts about pampering? The unusual baobab massage uses the essential oil of baobab nuts to hydrate the skin, speed up the metabolism and break down cellulite. We think it sounds pretty blissful...

How does it work?

Although all baobab massages incorporate the essential oil of the baobab nut (also known as the baobab fruit), the methods used by the therapist may differ. Some baobab treatments include a body exfoliation, whilst others focus solely on a hot oil massage. You may even find that your therapist uses the whole nut to stimulate your skin - well, it makes a change from hot stones...

Is it for me?

If you are looking for an indulgent massage that’s a little bit different, this tree-derived therapy could be just the thing. The massage is designed to reduce skin dryness, stimulate the metabolism, boost the lymphatic system, remove toxins and improve skin elasticity – what’s not to like?

Good to know

The baobab tree is also known as the adansonia, the bottle tree, the upside-down tree and the monkey bread tree.

The fruit of the baobab can also be eaten, and is high in vitamin C.

The Lion King's Rafiki makes his home in a baobab tree.
