Very busy receptionist doing everything on her own so good job there in taking the time to explain the important stuff of how it works. Great experience overall. Felt energized when leaving the venue and can feel my thighs a lot firmer. Definitely considering taking up one of the package time/budget permitting.
This is a very effective exercise concept. It is well designed and enjoyable. The cost is a lot but you can see that these individual sessions are expensive to run. Overall if you have the money to do it regularly I am sure it would be very beneficial.
The company had never used this site before so were unfamiliar + there was confusion with payments at the end of my session.... There was also a lot of confusion with appointment time as the slot I booked through the website they claimed wasn't available ....
Also, upon arrival, I was told to buy a pair of shoes to do the treatment (£12)
I thought as there wasn't much fluidity that the place was new but they've been open a year already.... I'll probably go back as I liked the concept of cycling in water but feel the staff could have been a little more informative before arrival....
it is a rip off as one can not swim when on wants as they rented tow lanes of club to external company and use for children swimming lessons daily since 9 a m to 7 pm every day exclusive Saturday morning .. Note '' La SK t write family swimming ''in fact is children and nannies or parents ..this happen also Saturday and Sunday.. spinning is always busy and you can book day before .. so it's a headache ..
We had a lovely day at the Breadsall Priory.
We chose the back massage which was very relaxing then we went for a swim and sauna afterwards we had lunch there which finished the morning perfectly a great day out
What a lovely small club, such friendly staff
Staff are highly inefficient. You can leave and leave and leave message but nobody will ever get back to you. When joining they promise the world. But, when you want to leave, its made as difficult as possible. I suggest no one joins there. STAY AWAY!!
The staff Malissa receptionist who is fat, and Dominican was very nasty ,and had my membership revoked. I was a member for years, and she told cops I was harrasinng the security Ronnie who's a bird watcher in the steam room ,and in the showers, and he kept provoking me by gossiping to his friends, and other members that I like to walk arounf naked when Iam trying to change my clothing the guy is sick ,and has issues stay away from the club. They said these are the rules. I had a goood deal, but had to give it up,and join a better gym with friendly staff . I sued them, but they were bankrupt
I'm not a great fan of gyms. But when I learned I was going to be spending 6 weeks in London I thought what the hell? Virgin Active have a great 'pay-as-you-go' monthly membership, which was perfect for me.
Having not been in a gym since 2005 I was amazed to discover the new addition, the power plate. At Virgin Active Wandsworth they have lunch time power plate classes that last about half an hour, which is ideal if you only have an hour's break!
I also tried the aqua aerobics class which was fun and dynamic.
At the end of a workout you have the sauna and steam rooms and the jacuzzi to relax in.
Though it is not the biggest gym in the world it is perfectly adequate and you've got everything you need.
I love this spa. It's set in a gorgeous Alpine village so you can wander out and eat in fabulous restaurants and peruse the shops if you get bored (but you won't). It's a funny mix of old and new - parts are still quite olde worlde Tyrolean, while other parts are all pared back minimalism but with a serious dose of comfort. I loved my bedroom with its chrome and leather chaise longue and mohair throw. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in.
The spa itself is all smart and gleaming and just so professional. The therapists were all stunning and I had some of the best massage I've ever had here. Be warned - Austrians aren't remotely coy and you just strip off (and may have a male masseur). You get what you need here and my therapist used kinesiotape to fix a headache and also a dodgy Achilles. He also recommended cryotherapy, which is a specialty of the spa - where you spend a few minutes in seriously subzero temperatures. It IS scary at first but the results are incredible. I limped in and nearly bounced out.
Aqua aerobics was good fun. The gym was pretty good too, if I recall.
Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. My only grouch was that it seemed odd for a health spa to allow smoking in the bar - that put me off. But otherwise, just superb.
