Our signature massage is a 90 minute blend of Swedish Body, Indian Head and Thai Hand & Foot Massage techniques which is great for helping to relax and de-stress, and allows time to really get deep into those knotty and aching muscles.

Shorter and longer treatments are also available, with a full two hour treatment including a full 90 min Swedish Body Massage and 30 minute Indian Head massage being one of our most popular treatments.

TREATMENTS
The most common treatments booked are the 90 minute or two hour Swedish Body Massages, which can also be combined with an Indian Head Massage for a really relaxing treat. Shorter massages are also available with focus only on specific body areas.

Our standard massages usually include the large core muscle groups of the back, neck, shoulders and legs, as well as the feet, arms & scalp.

We always conduct a full consultation to ascertain exactly what benefits you would like to get from receiving the treatment, and check for any health problems to ensure that it is both the most enjoyable experience for you and also the safest.

Both male and female clients are welcomed.

LOCATION
Treatments are primarily delivered in a comfortable home studio in a quiet but easily accessible residential setting in Failsworth. Mobile treatments are also offered within Greater Manchester and its environs.

SWEDISH FULL BODY MASSAGE
Swedish Full Body Massage is also commonly referred to as a ‘Classic’ or ‘Traditional Massage’ and is the most common form of full body massage treatment. It is performed largely undressed (client) and with oil on a professional massage couch. A Swedish Full Body Massage employs effleurage (long, gliding stokes) accompanied by petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking to benefit the skeletal, muscular, cardiovascular, lymphatic & nervous systems.

The physiological effects and benefits of Swedish Body Massage include a reduction in muscle stiffness and fatigue, increased flexibility and range of motion, improved circulation, increased lymphatic drainage, release of endorphins (the body's natural happiness drug), improved skin and stimulation and improvement of the body's respiratory & digestive systems. Psychologically you will feel calmer and more relaxed, usually with a reduction stress, anxiety & depression, and you will feel an enhanced sense of vitality and general sense of well being.

INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Indian Head Massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practised in India for in excess of 1000 years. Modern Indian Head Massage encompasses the whole head, including the face, ears, neck, upper back, shoulders and upper arms. A treatment starts with some deep muscle work on the upper back to relieve muscle tension and help to loosen and melt knots. Progression through the shoulders and arms to the neck helps to further release accumulated tension, and massage of the scalp boosts circulation and promotes healthy hair growth whilst encouraging deep feelings of relaxation and revitalisation. Finally, gentle massage of the face helps to improve circulation, skin tone, sinus problems and reduces headaches.

REIKI HEALING
Reiki is an energy healing treatment based on a spiritual practice developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing or hands-on-healing to transfer the universal life force energy in the form of Ki (Japanese) Chi (Chinese), or Prana (Sanskrit) through the palms, which they believe allows for self-healing and a state of balance and equilibrium. Recipients of a Reiki treatment often feel a reduction in stress, anxiety, sadness or physical ill health and can be left feeling totally relaxed, enlightened or may even experience an emotional release. A full consultation is carried out over a cup of tea before any Reiki treatment to learn about the client and their desired outcome from the treatment and as an opportunity to answer in detail any questions.
