I had an Elemis facial with Molly. My skin felt wonderful (and if I say so myself looked great!) afterwards. Very impressed with Molly.

We had a lovely day. Beautiful location in very nice hotel grounds. The spa itself is not currently open at this establishment due to a fire, and so the treatments are now carried out in a (very nice) log cabin with a number of treatment rooms and a small but lovely relaxation room. The treatments were heavenly and the staff were excellent. The "spa" side of the day was perfect, and I would have awarded 5 stars were it not for two things:- The relaxation room only has 4 beds and so we weren't able to totally relax as we were watching the door and expecting to be evicted as soon as other guests needed the room after their treatments (we actually stayed for an hour in the end and had the room to ourselves so we were very lucky - but at busy times that could be awkward?) The second point was just that the afternoon tea was quite disappointing. Once again the setting and staff were great. The cakes were perfect but only a couple of mini bites each. The scones were OK, but I suspect were just supermarket bought "fresh cream scones" straight from the fridge. The sandwiches however were cheap ordinary sliced bread from a packet. The fillings were very basic and a bit "school packed lunch". They had also (I suspect) been made quite a while earlier as the bread was dry and a bit stale. We didn't complain as overall we felt that we had got what we paid for and had a lovely day. We would definitely go back and do it again (but probably do the lunch package instead).

My good lady wife and her friend have relayed to me that their day was very nice. They were however a little disappointed that the poool was not available and not mentioned on booking! However, they did have a good visit and were pleased with the manner in which the staff conducted their visit.

This visit was supposed to be a whole day experience in the Leasure and spa facilities. They have only got a gym which I am going regularly 3 times a week. For me this is not really a Leasure activity. So this was only a half day experience for us. Then before the day we went my sister had a phone call from Wahanda saying that the day trip for one of us was cancelled due to different reasons??? It took her loads of time effort and worry to sort this out; which made the whole experience quite bitter. The staff was brilliant though the cleaning could have been better. (Cob web in the fireplace and last years Christmas decoration, the cleaning sing was left in front of the toilet all day...; half bread on the floor in the bar)
