We have developed a special program for the work place to help improve postural issues that can lead to injury and give a strong foundation in attention techniques. Our aim is to enable the individual to apply the knowledge gained at their desk, in meetings and beyond allowing them to feel physically comfortable and centered at work.
The course combines functional pilates and yoga principles to improve body and mind function. Over the 6 weeks we teach basic anatomy principles for good posture, breathing to aid relaxation, seated exercises, simple mindfulness exercises and stretches that can be done anywhere. Worksheets with tips on how to maintain the skills learnt are provided to attendees.
The courses are in 6 weeks of one-hour sessions and allow up to 10 participants to ensure that there is time for individual support. All exercises are taught in chairs or standing, so no mats are required.
