Helen began hairdressing at the age of 14 as a Saturday girl and dived straight into the industry as soon as she finished school. She has shown extreme dedication and talent from day 1, completing qualifications in her local salon and quickly moving on to work with the likes of Toni & Guy in her early adult life. Starting as a colour technician, Helen went on to train in Manchester to vader and received the highest score of 99% for her 6 week course, becoming the only hairdresser to offer both services in Toni & Guy. Helen embarked on multiple courses both in Manchester and London’s academy, becoming a strong stylist for shows and shoots of all shapes and sizes. Whilst working with the academy in Manchester, she was asked to work as a Toni & Guy tutor for NVQ students and older stylists, bringing all the latest hairdressing techniques from London’s academy and implementing them in Birmingham. Whilst here, she has developed a passion for hair extensions and hair design, driven by the idea that you can change how someone feels and looks through hair styling. She began working from home, and soon became very popular, setting up shop within 6 months of leaving Tony & Guy. The salon has gone from strength to strength ever since. Based in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham, Helen now specialises in professional hair dressing for weddings and events, with a keen eye for mens hairdressing and hair extensions

Hi, I am Simone. The newest member of the team and very excited to join Pickles&Co! My hair journey began in South Africa where I studied and worked at some of the top salons in Johannesburg for almost 10 years. My favourite part of being a hairdresser is the transformation from before to after, and having my clients leave the salon looking and feeling amazing! I have a passion for all things cut and colour, I love doing balayage and have been called the Curl Queen! I also love braiding and doing hair-ups. I hope to see you in my chair soon.
