Reiki is a technique that aids the body in releasing stress and tension by creating deep relaxation: promoting healing and health. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well-being. Reiki is a safe and gentle, non-intrusive hands on healing technique.
Before starting, we'll take some time to talk about what you want to get out of the session. During the session, you will lie (usually on your back) on a comfortable treatment table, fully clothed, and gentle music will play in the background, aiding the relaxation process.
Reiki uses non-invasive touch on specific areas of your body including your head, shoulders, torso, legs and feet. You will begin to feel very relaxed as you allow the energy to flow to the areas where it is most needed by your body. At this stage, you will begin to feel the stress releasing from your body and a greater sense of relaxation and calm. The more open you are to the Reiki experience, the more intense your experience will be.
