We went for a 1 night rebalancing spa break at the Nutfield Priory, had a massage/pedicure and spent the night in the hotel. Generally a good experience. The only drawback with the spa facilities is that the 'spa pool' is used by hotel guests at the same time, and there were children's private swimming lessons happening on the day we were there. Not ideal when we'd booked a spa break to have a quiet day away from the kids. There was an adult only swim time between 1-3pm, but we went to eat lunch during that time. Had a lovely relaxing massage and we were lucky with the weather, so spent sometime in the garden on a lounger which was fab.

Unfortunately the beginning of the day was quite stressful as the reception staff wanted the voucher code (even though there wasn't one on the email) and this proved tricky as we could not connect to the wifi for some time. They told us that they had not received the same email from Treatwell, although Treatwell told us that they had definitely emailed the Nutfield Priory Spa. Eventually the email was shown and we were given towels, slippers and a robe. Whilst filling out the forms the relaxing c.d. was jumping and the earn for the tea was cold. Luckily the waiter from the restaurant came through and told us that he would make us a cup of tea (he was lovely). We noticed that on one of the tables written in the dust was 'clean me' and therefore, we pointed this out to the receptionist, who was mortified. They did clean this quite promptly. When we went to the spa they were still cleaning the steam room, so unfortunately this took several hours to really heat up. Additionally the shower that was by the pool, steam room and sauna was out of order. The temperature of the spa and the swimming pool was on the cool side as apparently there was an issue with the heating that they were working on. On the positive side though the massage and facial were both very relaxing and the jacuzzi was hot and bubbly. We also enjoyed our lunch and the waiter was very attentive. After lunch we went home earlier than expected as the swimming pool was so cold.
