Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT is a wonderful simple, safe and easy to use technique that can help you deal with challenges in your life. Its principles are similar to those of acupuncture however there are no needles involved. Although simple and easy to learn, more complex issues require a skilled therapist who will incorporate good questioning techniques, elicit information that may be in your unconscious mind and may even use other techniques to help you plan the way forward once the obstacles have been removed.
I have successfully worked with hundreds of people helping them with issues such as fear of public speaking, fear of spiders, exam nerves and fears of flying. It can also be used for positive outcomes by eliminating the negative beliefs, that you might not of known you had (these may be drawn out of you by using other techniques such as NLP neuro-linguistic programming) and improving things such as your golf swing, for example.
My name is Nigel Burgan and I trained as Life coach with The Coaching Academy the foremost coach trainer in the country.
I qualified as an Advanced Structured Hypnotherapist after a period of personal coaching and studying with Valarie Austin (Britain's first celebrity hypnotherapist) who coined the stop smoking in an hour phrase and technique I have since completed other specialist smoking cessations courses to hone my skills even more. I am registered with the (GHR) The General Hypnotherapy Register and adhere to their code of ethics, and can also be found on the NHS directory to Complimentary and Alternative Practitioners.
After discovering (EFT) Emotional Freedom Technique in 2002 I qualified in 2003 as an Advanced practitioner and Trainer and also travelled to the United States to train with Gary Craig the creator. At this time I was also introduced to the many therapeutic benefits of (NLP) Neuro Linguistic Programming and once again chose to study with one of the creators Richard Bandler.
Having also endured and overcome my fair share of life's challenges with my positive and happy outlook on life, I entered into the world of Coaching and Complimentary Therapy and proceeded to set up and run a Complementary and Alternative Therapy Centre. Having served a very appropriate apprenticeship working with people from all walks of life and issues from fears and phobias, to confidence issues and weight loss I have now decided that I only wish to work with people with health challenges; be that weight issues, smoking cessation or more physical issues.
I re-qualified as a personal trainer in 2010 and have taken specialist courses in weight loss since as this is the area that I love working in.
