Thai massage is a type of massage in Thai style that involves stretching and deep massage. Traditional Thai massage (Nuad Boran) is generally based on a combination of Indian and Chinese traditions of medicine. It is a unique form of Buddhist physiotherapy that blends yoga, acupressure and reflexology. This form of massage is usually performed on the floor, and the client should wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement. No oils are required in Thai massage.
A full Thai massage session typically lasts two hours or more, and includes rhythmic pressing and stretching of the entire body. There is a standard procedure and rhythm to the massage, which is adjusted to fit each individual client.
