I had a bikini wax and a gel manicure. The bikini wax was ok. Gel manicure wasn't great at all. I eas given the colour chart but told ones with a cross through weren't available, which was quite a lot of the colours o wouldve gone for. Pretty much all the nudes were out. The 'nail bar' is just a table in the spa reception bit and is poorly lit- looks like it was a bit of an after thought if I'm honest. The girl said my cuticles were very dry and tough and, to be fair- its not the first time i've been told this and have started to use oils as a few of mt manicures have been quite sore when they push them back. in my previous manicures they normally start with an oil or something to soften them bit not this time. My cutilces were pushed back so hard that the nail beds were red and sore and 4 of my fingers were bleeding around the nail bed. the left hand was a bit better as i think the girl realised how much of a mess the right ended up but I was left with very sore fingers and fried blood around several nails. Infact 2 days later and 3 showers after, the nail beds still look horrible with the dry blood and scabbing. Not exactly the holiday manicure i was hoping for. I get the cuticle work is part of the treatment but the cuticles are supposed to protect the nail bed from infection and i've been using an antiseptic cream on them to make sure they don't get an infection with them being open and sore.

Bit of a mix up on the booking - all my documents said 2pm but they had me in for 2.30. However only short delay and I was seen. Great facial and massage - feel clean and refreshed afterwards ready for my holidays.

The whole experience was very pleasant. Rachel was very personable and made me feel welcome. She explained everything very clearly. The eyebrow tidy was very good and the results brilliant. The manicure was just a basic fluff and buff but the varnish took a long time to dry and despite 'magic drops' and taking care it was impossible not to smudge.
