I took a friend on this Spa Day as a birthday treat for her. However, it was not quite as we hoped. The changing rooms were small and cramped and reminded us of our local municipal swimming baths! The sauna was like a cupboard in the corner of the changing rooms (we didn't use it). There were only 2 showers, with insufficient water pressure to rinse the shampoo from my hair. The pool was nice and there were comfy loungers, but the air temperature was so uncomfortably hot and humid that we couldn't stay in there for long. (We did ask a member of staff if it was possible to open a window, but were told no). There is a vending machine in the reception area, but no drinking water available in the pool area. We wanted to order a 'proper' coffee but were advised this was not possible. and we had to exit the leisure club and go back into the hotel bar. We had to do the same at lunch time in order to get a sandwich (we had to sit in the bar area in our robes!) We both had a back massage as part of our package, and this was good, my friend also paid extra and had a facial which she enjoyed. All in all I would say this was not a luxurious pampering experience, which is what you expect of a 'Spa Day'.
