Grand Hotel, Eastbourne

Visited Mar 2013

My husband and I booked this weekend away as a chance to fully relax and unwind after several very busy weeks in work. We booked One Night Soothing Spa Break in a Deluxe Double. the hotel is beautiful, very traditions (if you love modern hotels, this is not one for you) we felt liked we had stepped back in time. due to this the hotel attracts an 'older crowd' but this didn't put us off as a quiet weekend was eactly what we wanted.
the spa facilities were OK, we enjoyed using the sauan and whirlpool and reading by the pool. we book had the express back massage, this was very average. we both thought it was unusal that the therapist left the full lights on throughout (which wasn't very relaxing) and she seemed to be a rush to get things done, (my massage only lasted 17minutes in total) despite being a 25 minute treatment.

whilst the spa wasn't amazing the general hotel service and staff made up for the this, both dinner and breakfast were of an excellent standard and we particualrly enjoyed the pianist during dinner.

For a weekend away it was fine, but if your only going for the treatment there are probably better places to visit.
