Unfortunately the massage didn't meet my expectations. I read online it was a choice between relaxing and deep tissue, had I been given the option before starting, I would have opted relaxing and if that's what it was, then I'm sorry but it certainly didn't relax me! For about 60% of the massage there was no music which made me concentrate on how suffocated I felt and when there was, it was only for a short while. It's a shame I walked away with more aches and pains than the minor ones I walked in with - for example, my lower back - I didn't have any issues with it before the massage! Having been up at half 4 this morning unable to sleep, I think it's safe to say I won't be returning to Stratford Salon.
The lady who carried out my massage was polite however I didn't feel comfortable enough to tell her she was way too harsh at times and when I thought I was finally relaxed, she'd covered me with the towel and massaged over it quite harshly - I was disappointed she didn't feel me tense up!
As they're still fairly new, there's works still going on hence the atmosphere not being as relaxing as it could be. Unfortunately I have to say with the pain I'm in now, I'm glad I didn't pay full price for the massage. It's a shame the reviews I read made it seem so great but hey, we live and we learn.
