Spa Urban Oasis at Debenhams Manchester City Centre

I went here on a Saturday & treated myself to the Detox Package (facial & full body massage). The entrance way to the spa from Debenhams was in the process of being refreshed but not quite finished so didn't look particularly appealing, although the modifications in the spa/treatment rooms had already been done - the room was the perfect temperature, looked clean & fresh and luxurious at the same time. I was lead into the relaxation area after booking in at Reception and after a short wait my therapist came to collect me.

The massage was first - just the right pressure, and very relaxing (love the fact that she didn't chat all the way through as some therapists can), followed by the facial which was lovely. The therapist left the room only once to refil a bowl with warm water, and during the face mask I got a hand/arm massage (rather than in some salons where they wander off and leave you for what seems like ages) so a big thumbs up for that.

The only slight negative was that I wasn't asked anything about my skin type (just if I was allergic or sensitive to any essential oils), there was no questionnaire or anything to fill in so I get the impression it was a 'one size fits all' facial, although it was very nice. The therapist didn't tell me anything about the products she was using - which on the one hand was great because I hate feeling like I'm being 'sold' to during a treatment, but on the other I really liked some of the things she used and had to ask what the brand was (Eve Taylor, a range I haven't come across before).

After my treatment I was asked if I had time to relax with a herbal tea, and I was given a menu of flavours to choose from, along with a warm wheat pack around my shoulders.

At £80 the treament wasn't cheap but it lasted the full 2 hours and I felt pampered and very relaxed afterwards, so it was definitely worth it. I will definitely be booking in again soon.
