Without knowing your weight I can't can't really say for sure how long it will take you to get where you want to. I can say this though. Working out only twice a week is not going to get you the results you desire. You are going to have to up the workouts to 5 days a week.
I personally would focus on total body exercises. Mixing in cardio and resistance training is a great way to increase lean muscle and burn fat. To see noticeable results you don't need to have long workout sessions. Raising the intensity on your workouts is the best way to get results. Believe it or not you can get an awesome workout that is going to continue burning fat for up to 48 hours after your workout in as little as 12 minutes. I would even say you could do 4 minutes, but most don't believe that.

The exercise part is only a small part of the whole picture. You need to have your diet dialed in. That means eat fruits and veggies, lean meats, nuts and anything natural really. Stay away from processed foods (anything that comes pre- packaged in a bag or box is processed. Stay away from fast food, limit your sugar intake and try to eat 5 -6 small meals a day.
