Overall an ok experience. We booked it because it was cheap, looking back should've spent the extra. Upon arrival there was a new housing estate being built part of the car park and the grounds were grubby with dirty towels and beer cans left at the bottom of fire escapes. Staff in reception were helpful but it was frustrating that we had to keep presenting our voucher, once for reception, then for the spa, then for the restaurant! We only used the pool, steam room and sauna but the overall decor was very dated. The water in the pool was on the chilly side with sand from the pool filter in the bottom of the spa pool! Changing rooms were ok but had all the locks on the cubicles broken. Luckily we took our own towels too as there is a £5 charge for towel and robe! Cream tea was ok but you could tell the sandwiches had been pre-made and frozen for sometime. Following our experience we would not return to this spa hotel. I would recommend spending a little more for better quality.
