Went for a Spa day today as it seemed a bargain at £15 each for use of facilities and afternoon tea. Was looking forward to a relaxing day but facilities wee really dated compared to other modern up to date spas I have been to. Pool was on the chilly side and the whirlpool was full of sand from the pool filter. Showers in the changing rooms ran hot and cold and all the cubicles were damaged so could not lock the door. Towels and robes came at an extra charge of £5 per person (luckily we took our own). Outside of the hotel seemed drab and was surrounded by overgrown weeds, beer bottles lying around at bottom of fire escapes and even dirty towels! Not a good first impression when we arrived. Afternoon tea was ok although the sandwiches seemed like they had been kept frozen for sometime before being defrosted. If you do go remember to print your voucher as I was asked for it at every area of the hotel I went to (reception, spa, restaurant) which became very annoying. I would recommend spending the extra and going somewhere else. Disappointed reviewer.
