The one night spa break was very relaxing. It started off pretty stressful as our train from London was delayed meaning a late check in and we were also late for our first spa treatment so it was a good test to see how quickly we would de-stress! The spa staff were great, helpful, polite etc. The facilities at the spa were top notch. We had a 60 minute hot stone massage each and it was heavenly. The only feedback I would supply here is that the massage could have been a bit firmer with pressure - I did mention this when asked throughout the massage but it didn't seem to get firmer...Aside from that, it was really lovely.
The Reception staff were brilliant. Very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to talk to and sometimes you don't always get that at other hotels. Nothing was too much trouble and they'd do anything they could to help a guest. The hotel's brasserie is lovely. The one piece of feedback I would give here is that sometimes the food is not always as advertised! Ensure you ask what comes with certain dishes as it wasnt explicit that some would come with veg, sides etc and we ordered sides and wound up with a mountain of food that we just couldnt eat! I had the steak and it was beautifully cooked. Food was fantastic, even if the portion sizes were too big for me...
