What's the low-down on laser hair removal? Permanent or not...!?

Treatments: Laser Hair Removal, Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

I hear contradicting information about laser hair removal. Is it REALLY permanent or will the hairs grow back eventually if you do not carry on with treatments as in IPL? I'm keen to know, but as it is expensive, do not want to try it out if I have to keep going forever!

AS WOMEN ARE PRE-DISPOSED TO GROW MORE HAIR ON THE FACE AS WE AGE ,MORE TREATMENTS WILL BE NEEDED IN THIS ARE IN YEARS TO COME,HOWEVER BODY HAIR TENDS TO BE MORE PERMANENT.DEPENDING ON THE INDIVIDUAL.
