I am looking to introduce gel polish at my 5 star spa, so I'm looking for feedback different brands?

I would like to hear customer experiences as well as Spa Manager expereinces.

Talk to your clients - which one do they know of? Also which nail products do you currently offer. For example if you do Jessica nails using GELeration would be the next natural step. I didn't offer any nail treatments but wanted to offer CND Shellac to help build my client base and give me the full range of core treatments (massage, hair removal, skincare & nails).
I opted for Shellac because it has a very strong brand awareness, it has won countless awards and clients and potential clients are aware of it. And why would I want to answer a clients question "No we don't offer Shellac, but we do have ____ which is like Shellac".
Range of colours is very important - a good selection from any range you choose is essential. just having six won't really work that well, also look at things like Rockstar glitter nails - these can be very popular. I don't have the skill to offer nail art, but a small range of say 12 glitters really helps enhance the range of finishes you can offer clients.
I have also found including the cost of removal in the price is a good thing to do, avoids clients having a shock when they come to have them redone.

Shellac ALL the way!

I love Gelish and Jessica Geleration - both lasted brilliantly and have a great range of colours. I've heard some really good things about Shellac too but I think they have less variety in shades. Good luck!

Hi Rachellowe
I specialise in bio sculpture.....its the best. Ive been a nail tech for 18 yrs now and i would say this is prob the best product on the market. They last for a minimum of 3 weeks altho most of my clients go 4 weeks. Ive gone 6 weeks a few times.....
People compare it wiv gelish, shellac etc but there is no comparison to be honest.
Shellac only lasts up to 2 weeks and is not a treatment gel like bio sculpture gel.
A five star gel for a five star spa.
Good luck

I am a huge fan of Gelish - it really lasts 3 weeks, as advertised. The color range is fabulous too.
